About Julie Nise
Julie Nise is a trainer and therapist who has invigorated and inspired individuals, couples and organizations all over the country to have courage and conviction as they transform themselves into productive, successful and happy individuals. By "illuminating perceptions," Julie helps people find, understand and succeed in achieving change...for the better.
Her work has helped clients from all walks of life step out of confusing patterns and old un-useful perspectives and provide them with new ideas, tools and motivations to be relaxed and successful in both their professional and personal lives.
After 20 years in sales and corporate account management, Julie realized it was time to unplug herself from the corporate rat race and pursue her real-lfie ambition to be a change agent. Completing a maser's program at the age of 40, Julie eventually went into her own private practice where she remains today. After developing her psychotherapy practice she added the interesting dimension of hypnosis to her clinic.
Julie is the author of several books: 4 Weeks to a Happier Relationship, The 4 Weeks Companion Workbook, and The Parenting Guide: What Your Children Need Most and How to Give it to Them.
Julie's national television appearances include the "Dr. Phil Show" and she's a regular on local and national radio and TV shows and podcasts. Well known for her direct, no-nonsense approach and stellar results, Julie has developed a well-deserved reputation as a subject matter expert on a wide range of psychological, societal and corporate issues.
Julie holds a dual area of emphasis B.A. from Whittier College in Business Administration and Psychology. She earned an M.A. from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. She achieved her credentialing i professional hypnosis in 2005. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas. Julie is also a Certified Hypnotist, credentialed by the National Guild of Hypnotists and the International Hypnosis Federation.
An active proponent of dog rescue and responsible dog ownership, Julie is partnered with Border Collie Rescue Texas to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused and abandoned Borer Collies. she also enjoys gourmet cooking, travel and gardening. Happily married since 1997 to her "first, last and only" husband, Jim, they live in Friendswood, Texas, with their two dogs, Jake and Blaze.
